TOPEKA, Kan. – The Braves men’s and women’s bowling teams hit the lanes again on Saturday, Nov. 2 and Sunday, Nov. 3 competing at the Jayhawk Collegiate Challenge.
The women finished eighth of 16 with an overall pin total of 5,068, while the JV women finished fifth of nine with an overall pin total of 4,795. After six team games on Saturday and 16 baker games Sunday, the top eight teams advanced to a best two out of three bracket. The Braves women played well and earned the eighth seed to face off against the Wichita State University Shockers. OU won the first game matched up with the Shockers 2-1 by shooting 225, but ultimately fell short in the deciding third game to finish 2-1. The women’s JV defeated the Baker University Wildcats JV 2-0 and Wichita State JV 2-1 before falling in the JV Final to the Midland University Warriors JV 2-1.
On the men’s side, Ottawa finished 11th of 19 with an overall pin total of 5,280, while the JV finished seventh of 10 with an overall pin total of 5,061.
