SIOUX CITY, Iowa – The Braves Men’s bowling team competed at the Morningside Invitational on Saturday and Sunday morning. The Braves competed well on the lanes, with the varsity finishing third of 11 with a team pin total of 5,687 and a baker pin total of 3,044, for an overall pin total of 8,731. The junior varsity also competed well, finishing third of five with a team pin total of 4,866 and a baker pin total of 2,278, for an overall pin total of 7,144.
The Braves varsity entered the match play tournament following the team and baker games as the three seed, where they defeated the University of Nebraska Cornhuskers 2-1 in their first matchup. In the championship round of match play, the Ottawa men were able to bring home the hardware with their 2-1 victory over the Hastings College Bronco. This is the second tournament championship for the OU men’s bowling team in just over two years. Daniel Hall led the Braves, finishing 3rd overall to make the All-Tournament Team.
